Call for Pathway Appraisers
ANCC seeks experienced clinical nurses, nurse administrators, and clinical educators to evaluate Pathway to Excellence® applicants’ written documents. As an independent contractor of ANCC, appraisers are compensated for each completed organizational review.

Selected Candidate Requirements:
If selected as an appraiser candidate, successful completion of several evaluative components over a 6 month time frame is required prior to employment as a Pathway to Excellence (PTE) appraiser. Required components include:
- Pathway to Excellence Overview
- Appraiser Candidate Virtual Workshop, April 7 - 8
- Observing participant in a Pathway to Excellence review
- Rater Reliability Activity (scoring of a mock document)
Submit Application
The complete application portfolio is due no later than midnight, February 11. Notification of appraiser candidate selection will occur approximately 2 - 3 weeks following the due date.
Travel Requirements
No travel is required for Pathway to Excellence Healthcare Organization reviews.
