Advanced Practice Provider Fellowships Accreditation
Elevating the Standards for APP Fellowships
ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP) is the premier accreditation for fellowship programs that transition advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) into new practice settings. ANCC PTAP has been accrediting APRN programs since 2014.
The newly created credential, Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Accreditation™ (APPFA), recognizes transition-to-practice programs for physician assistants (PA) and APRNs. National advanced practice provider (APP) leaders collaborated to create this innovative credential using evidence-based criteria. Earning APPFA means your program demonstrates excellence in transitioning PAs and APRNs to new practice settings.
APPFA Benefits:
- One set of standards for APP fellowships
- Interprofessional standards that leverage APP practice within health care organizations
- A peer review appraisal process that focuses on process improvement
