“What an honor it is to confer these awards to diverse health care and nursing organizations who strive to promote the highest standards of nursing practice. What’s special about this cohort is that we are recognizing two international health care organizations—one in Singapore and the other in Saudi Arabia—showcasing the positive impact and reach of our accreditation programs the world over,” said Jennifer Graebe DrPH, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, Senior Director of Nursing Continuing Professional Development and Joint Accreditation Programs at ANCC. “This year’s recipients have demonstrated their organizational culture reflects the values that this award represents: shared decision-making, empowerment, interprofessional collaboration and nurturing a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
The NCPD Accreditation Program was founded in 1974 as the flagship program of ANCC. To date, it remains the largest and leading premiere program in nursing accreditation standards. The program marks its 50 year milestone at the NCPD Summit this year which is themed “Leading Learning: A Purpose-Driven Career.” Every year, this summit provides nurses with opportunities to explore new ways of delivering care, discover a renewed passion for learning, and renew their excitement about accreditation and practicing at the top of their license.
The inspiring and fun-filled NCPD Summit precedes the 2024 ANCC National Magnet Conference® and ANCC Pathway to Excellence Conference® which are also held in New Orleans on October 30 – November 1.
