New ANA Member Benefit: Burnout Prevention Program

The COVID-19 pandemic increased the vulnerability of the nursing profession, negatively impacting their mental health and well-being. Recent data finds 84% of registered nurses are experiencing burnout, and only 42% of nurses feel their employer values their mental health.

The American Nurses Association (ANA) has partnered with SE Healthcare to provide ANA members with up to four months of complimentary access to a Burnout Prevention Program May 1, 2022, through August 31, 2022.

SE Healthcare’s mission is also to improve the well-being and career satisfaction of registered nurses. The SE Healthcare Burnout Prevention Program is a collection of hundreds of videos and audios and includes 22 hours of contact hours. The unique and timely program is wholly based on listening to the voice of nurses and matching their needs with immediate resources. SE Healthcare’s web-based platform, the Enrichment Center, offers educational content, and skills-based tools on all aspects of burnout prevention. The Enrichment Center also includes access to a survey which gives ANA Members the opportunity to share their top stressors in their day-to-day nursing practice.

ANA will use the findings from the Enrichment Center to inform its bold advocacy efforts. Our nation’s leaders must provide immediate short and long-term solutions that support nurses’ safety, health, and well-being. We must have a strong nursing workforce now, and for the future.
