Opportunity: Scope & Standards Revision Workgroup
APPLICATION PERIOD OPEN NOW!
Current ANA members are invited to apply for appointment to the 12-to-18-month workgroup charged with reviewing and revising the current edition to develop the new Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, Fifth Edition.
We are seeking registered nurses, graduate-level prepared registered nurses, and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) from all practice settings across the nation who provide any type of nursing service to people of any age in any setting. Nurses who supervise, educate, conduct research, or develop policies and regulations are invited to apply to share their knowledge and expertise.
Meetings for the workgroup are currently planned for 12-2pm ET, on the first and third Thursdays of every month, beginning in January, 2025. All applicants must be available during meeting times to participate. Additional personal time may be required to complete short writing assignments or small group discussions.
Please Note: Applications are welcome from nurses across the care spectrum, however, all applicants must be ANA members.

Calling Nurses from All Countries who Provide Care for Patients in their Homes to Participate in a Research Study
The International Home Care Organization (IHCNO) and the American Nurses Association (ANA) are conducting a multi-phase study to help guide the development of the new Home-Based Nursing: International Scope and Standards of Practice.
We are seeking nurses from all countries around the world who provide any type of nursing service to people of any age in people’s homes. You are eligible if you are a registered nurse (or equivalent) who provides nursing services to patients in their homes OR who supervise, educate, conduct research, or develop policies for those who do.
