Hurricane Florence

Hurricane Florence made landfall near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, on September 14, bringing 90 mph winds and over 35 inches of rain to the Carolinas and surrounding areas. More than 30 people have died and nearly 2 million evacuated their homes due to massive flooding and other damage. While nurses are helping with emergency health services in their communities, many are also victims and survivors of the disaster.

The North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA) and the North Carolina Foundation for Nursing (NCFN) have created the Nurse Recovery Fund, a special fund to provide assistance to nurses who have been impacted by Hurricane Florence. Donations will directly support nurses and help them get back on their feet.
